The Giving Guide remains our most impactful special edition each year, and it’s truly inspiring to see it come together. This resource continues to make a meaningful difference in our community, and I look forward to seeing it grow even further.
Fr. Christopher Smith is delighted to welcome a dear friend to the studio, Karen Castro from Catholic Charities Auxiliary, a group that supports Catholic Charities of Orange County through outreach, fundraising and community service.
OC Philanthropy features trends in giving, news within the nonprofit community, as well as a Corporate Foundations/Giving list. The special edition includes over 70 nonprofit organizations and foundations, highlighting their causes and how others can get involved.
The much-anticipated black-tie event draws 300-400 people each year and is the largest fundraiser for Catholic Charities.
Fr. Christopher Smith welcomes a very close family member to the show: his brother, Tad Smith. Among his many talents to go with his diverse background, Tad currently serves in the role of Educator Coordinator of the Garden of Hope at the Cantlay Center in Santa Ana, CA.
Held at San Antonio de Padua Parish in Anaheim Hills, the “Color Me Fashion” show involved the Chapter’s 45 members and the Knights of Columbus Council 9195, who served lunch to the more than 200 women in attendance.
The event is generously supported by the Order of Malta Western Association U.S.A. This year, 927 families were served during the Thanksgiving distribution for a total of 5,562 individuals.
Catholic Charities of Orange County is pleased to be featured in OC REGISTER this Thanksgiving Week!
