“Be the one! Be the one that makes the difference!”

September 5th 2025, International Charity Day is approaching. It is a very special opportunity to support our mission of serving those in need.

This meaningful date commemorates the passing of Mother Teresa, a shining example of compassion and service to the poor.

In today’s video message, one of this year’s Inspirational Catholic Women of our Diocese @orangediocese , Alrene Zonni, from St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Seal Beach talks about how Mother Teresa inspires her to serve our local community.

Through service we not only grow our communities but we also grow our inner self, we grow our hearts and make our faith stronger.

We will be offering a novena leading up to Giving Day, inviting our community to pray and reflect as we prepare our hearts for this important effort.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to secure food for our Cantlay Food Distribution Center. Every gift, small or large, makes a huge difference to help those facing food insecurity in Orange County. Follow the link in bio to support CCOC Giving Day and stay tuned for more information.

We are on the cover of @catholicrurallife magazine! The 2025 spring issue features a story by @mjgarorti Mariajose Garorti, CCOC Communications & Development Director. Visit our website to read the whole story about our Garden 🪴 or Hope - link in bio.

“The Garden of Hope is more than a place where food is grown-it is a testament to the power of community, compassion, and resilience.”

In the heart of Orange
County, California, a small
but significant project is making
a profound impact on the
community. The Garden of Hope,
an initiative by Catholic Charities
of Orange County, is more than
just a garden; it is a symbol
of nourishment, renewal, and
empowerment for those in need.
