DACA
INITIAL DACA REQUIREMENTS
Initial DACA – December 4, 2020 USCIS was required to accept Initial Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals or DACA applications.
To apply for DACA you must:
- Be at least 15 years old,
- Be born after June 15, 1981,
- Arrived in the U.S. before reaching your 16th birthday,
- Have continuously resided in the U.S. since June 15, 2007, up to the present time,
- Was physically present in the U.S. on June 15, 2012 and at time of making DACA request,
- Had no lawful immigration status or lawful status has expired prior to June 15, 2012
- Is currently in school, has graduated from high school, has obtained a certificate of completion from high school, has obtained a General Education Development (GED) certificate, or is an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard or U.S. Armed Forces, and
- Have not been convicted (as an adult) of a felony offense, a significant misdemeanor offense, three or more non-significant misdemeanor offenses, or does not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.
